What are Short Announcements

  • They are small messages for community members to announce special events or reminders
  • There are dedicated cards on App home screen which show these announcements
  • They are shown in latest announcement first order
  • After 10 announcements , the oldest announcement in stack of announcement cards will be removed 

                        

Announcement Notification

  • When announcements are pushed a notification appears on user's phone
  • An example notification [Android] is shown below

        

How to send announcements

  • Log in to MOHID admin dashboard
  • Go to Events Management -> Announcements
  • Enter announcement here and SAVE
  • Once saved announcement will broadcast to all users

         


How to Delete an announcement

  • Log in to MOHID admin dashboard
  • Go to Events Management -> Announcements
  • Click on delete button for announcement
  • This will delete the announcement from MOHID data base but not from user phones
  • In order to push a sync to user phones , in MOHID Dashboard go to Masjid Portal -> Settings
  • Click save 
  • This will send a Silent Update message to all phones to re-sync with MOHID server
  • The deleted announcement will now be removed from all phones
